Comments- A festival day in Kawaguchi Village and the mountain rising in the distance. A knockout print for display!

A fine Japanese woodblock print by JOKATA KAISEKI, ca. 1929 from a series of 12 prints of Mt. Fuji. This print shows a village with people preparing for a festival. This series of prints was produced from blocks carved by Kawatsura Yoshio. The print is in horizontal oban format, measuring 14 X 10 ins. It has some minor wrinkles on the upper edges that will be hidden with a mat.

Note Kaiseki was a rare Shin Hanga artist. He did 12 print series of Mt. Fuji.
