The Kawaguchi and Sakai prints are considered by most experts to be among Master HASUI's finest works. |

I’m not sure of the date of this piece but think it is fairly recent. This print is clean and in perfect condition. The colors, and detail are excellent. 16 ½” by 11 ¼” |
Benten Pond, Shiba, 1929 Kawase Hasui (1883 – 1957) Benten Pond, Shiba The pond filled with flowering water lilies and two women stand on the bridge- a spectacular print! The rich greens are beautiful in contrast with the flowers and colorful kimonos. This image is considered a Hasui masterpiece. The Boston Museum of Art has this print in their 20th century collection- wonderful!
