Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Sunday, 13 February 2011 This captivating artwork is an original woodblock print created by Kaoru Kawano, circa 1950(?). It employs the traditional Japanese technique of the woodblock print with modern Asian imagery. This piece is pencil signed, titled, and numbered within the lower margin. It also is signed and stamped within the upper left of the image. This piece is titled, “Fan” and is number 79(?) of an edition of 150. The image measures approximately 22.25” x 15.25” on paper that measures approximately 23.75” x 18.” This piece is in fine original condition with only minor imperfections such as four tiny pin holes in the corners, light soiling in the top margin, and minor rippling of the paper.
	Artist Bio:	Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
