An original woodblock print of a girl holding a fan by the Japanese artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). Very strong color and metallic impressions, comparable to silk-screen printing in its richness. Unknown edition size as image bleeds to all four sides and margins were probably cut when framed. It was loose in the frame with no hinging, tape or glue. The paper on the back of the frame has a sticker shown in the last photo. The print will ship unframed, but I will enclose this sticker. Signature: Kaoru Kawano (in pencil) (red seal below signature) SELF-PRINTED SELF-CARVED KAORU KAWANO (paper sticker on back of frame) Dimensions: 15 1/8" x 22 1/4" h Condition: Excellent overall… but PLEASE NOTE the probable loss of margins mentioned above
