Vintage 1930's Japanese Framed Wood Block Print. A white egret is perched on a snow covered evergreen branch. It appears to be waiting out a storm with slanted lines depicting rain or sleet. Black and white, signed. Artist Chopewa? (I can't quite make out the English name written on the back, and I don't know how to read Japanese). The framed piece measures 12" x 21". The image measures 6 1/2" x 14 3/4". The print can easily be removed and reframed if desired, it is attached to a backing paper only at the top. This piece is framed to match other woodblock prints I have listed.
