This large sized 24" X 17" WB print by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) is one of his most typical textured abstruct representation of figures. It is 188/300 limited edition and in very good condition. The picture color bleeds through the back. It is both signed and sealed in the image (the signature is signed under the seal) as well as under the print both in English and Japanese.

Original woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano entitled "Dancing Figure (Maiogi)". Kawano (1916-1965) was a noted Japanese woodblock artist.
Size of the image is 22 x 15. Signed in pencil lower right beneath the mat. Titled in pencil lower center. Numbered 123/300 in pencil lower left. Seal lower right in the image..
Very good condition in the original mat and frame. Full margins. Not laid down. Size of the frame is 28 1/2 x 20 1/2. The framed piece will be shipped without the glass in order to avoid damage. Excuse any glare in photos. |
