| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | You are bidding on what I believe is a Vintage Japanese Woodblock Print. It is one of 2 the I recently purchased at an estate sale from a local paper collector. She had items dated back into the early 1800's. Size is just over 15" by 10" inches including the margins. Condition Good. You can see some of the wear to the edges and margins. The bottom and top are both creased along the edge where the ends of the print meet the margin. Also on the bottom it looks like just above the bottom left corner is a stain. Also the left margings have thumbtack holes at the top and bottom. |

Saishoin Temple in Snow, Hirosaki, 1936 Kawase Hasui (1883 – 1957) A beautiful temple scene with the rich, deep red temple building contrasting the white snow and evergreens. The snow has been lightly inked with a glistening mica to create a shimmering effect like fresh snowflakes- wonderful effect.
