a very nice print by KAWANO KAORU. 15x9 [approx] image size. 16 1/2 x 11 [approx] paper size. Unsigned albeit a chop on the back of the print [publisher?]. The usual red chop on the front. Excellent condition. "tape tipped" on verso to archival paper. Shawl is printed in white on the white paper…a very nice touch.

From an email to (Ross):

I have several of this artist’s works including one that you have listed as “unknown title” child wearing veil and is marked 50/50. It is titled “Mystery”. They were all acquired by my brother when he was serving as a physician in the Air Force and was stationed at Tachikawa, Tokyo Japan during the Viet Nam years.

The print is 11.95 inches by 18 inches wide.

It is in good condition with no repairs, tear, nor stain, except small tear the backing of the frame.
