a very nice print by KAWANO KAORU. 15x9 [approx] image size. 16 1/2 x 11 [approx] paper size. Unsigned albeit a chop on the back of the print [publisher?]. The usual red chop on the front. Excellent condition. "tape tipped" on verso to archival paper. Shawl is printed in white on the white paper…a very nice touch. |

Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
