Series Information: 
"An Exhaustive Collection of Pictorial Beauties of Mikado's Empire, Embracing all the style of Japanese Costumes, from the time immemorial up to the present". This appears to be a 44-print subset of Shodo's 120-print works "100 Beauties Depicting Modern and Ancient Manners and Customs", meant for Western audiences.
