Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Thanks to Andrew for this entry: Dear Dr. Walker, I thought you might be interested in seeing some Nishimura Hodo watercolours I recently stumbled across. They are clearly from the same person, but I can't find any online evidence of his making flower watercolors in the same vein as his prints. Seven in total, four chrysanthemums, one peony, one persimmon, one bamboo (with bad spots). They may have been purchased in 1941 - in the same auction where I found them, there was a horde of Japanese Tourist Library books dating to 1941, and no other Japanese items. Not definitive, but it fits Hodo's dates.
