Description "Fukigami". Cleaning her hair. Koshiro ONCHI was a leader of Sosaku-Hanga movement and was the pioneer of abstract arts in Japan. He led the new and experimental expressions in printing art during the early 20th century through right after W.W.II. His contributions for the establishment of Japan Print Association and Japan Sosaku-Hanga Association were great.

Drying Hair (Fuku Kami) by Onchi Koshiro. Genuine woodblock print dated 1930. Very good condition. A few small faint spots. 11.1 x 9.1 inches. Good ink bleedthrough. Nice clean verso. Date embossed in lower left of image. Artist's name, title and Muransha Hakko publisher's characters in left margin. Very nice woodgrain on left side of print.
