For your consideration. A beautifully done pre war watercolor of an evening party highlighted with Geishas entertaining and serving their guests. A large tree filled with cherry blossoms softens this evening setting. The ripples and reflections in the water give a great feeling of depth to the painting. Most likely the work of Eika Kato (1859-1942). The image measures 12.75" X 20". Overall it is 19.25" X 26.25" |
