A beautiful Japanese Watercolor by a listed artist Banka Maruyama , born in 1867 and died in 1942 , Meiji Period. This watercolor is a landscape scenes of a hillside with a few cabins or houses with a lot of white flowers blooming .This watercolor is signed and dated on the lower right side , B.Maruyama 1903 . One of Japan's most important watercolor artists during the Meiji Period . He was born in Nagano , Japan . Much of his work sits in museums and private collections . The image size is 12" by 19" and framed . The frame has 1 dent on the bottom left side , about 3/8 of an inch .
