Description From the series, "Fuji Juni Kei" (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). "Misaka-toge yori Mitaru Fuji". The view of Mt. Fuji from Misaka Pass.
At the height of the skills of woodblock print production, the masters such as carver Bonkotsu, printer Kumakichi Nishimura could simulate even the fluid brush strokes and the overlapped translucent colors of watercolor paintings. These technical mastery was one of the foundations for the popular but short-lived "Sketch Tour" genre and later the famed Shin Hanga movement.
Signature "Hiro" in the image.
Dated 1907.

Medium/Technique Woodblock print.
Impression Excellent.
Colors Excellent - Very good.
Condition Very good … Top edge is pasted on the presentation paper. Slight foxing. Several paper remnants and discolorations on the top area.
Note Carver Inoue Bonkotsu. Printer Nishimura Kumakichi. The title in Japanese was printed on a strip of paper and pasted on the back of the stiff presentation paper.
