EIKA KATO ( Japanese 1869-1942)

A stunning original early 20th Century watercolour laid on board of a river scene with boats and figures by the well-listed and highly collectable Japanese watercolour artist Eika Kato. Unframed and measuring a large 19 x 12.5 inches. Signed E Kato bottom left. Dating from the 1920`s or 1930`s or thereabouts. In good condition but does have a waterline at the very bottom which could easily be dealt with or disguised by sympathetic mounting/framing.
