Note from Ross: This painting was listed as by Masayuki Miyata but I doubt it. The painting style and the frame appear to be early 1900s, but Masayuki wasn't born until 1926. Also Masayuki painted modern bijin-ga prints, lot landscapes.

Vintage Original *Masayuki Miyata* Japanese Harbor Watercolor Painting
Signed in the lower left hand corner, “M. Miyata”, this original Japanese Watercolor depicts several boats in a small village harbor. It measures 12 ¾” by 19 3/8” (32cm by 49cm). It comes under glass in its original 14 ¾” by 21 3/8” painted frame. Both the frame and the painting are in very good original condition and there are no restorations. |
