Description Number 18 of the "Festive Wine" series. One of 50 original copies of the series. Ancient Japanese Poems from the Kinkafu," translated by Noah Brannen and William Elliott. An additional 150 copies were printed for the book. The blocks were destroyed after the printing of the 200 copies of the print. Haku Maki was a grand old master of modern Japanese printmaking. He introduced many innovative design elements such as deeply textured embossing or distorted Chinese characters. The artist's reputation is international.
