THE STORM IS CREATED BY FINELY SCRATCHING THE LINES THROUGH THE PAINTING TO THE PAPER BENEATH. SIGNED LOWER LEFT: S. TOSUKE. THE SHEET MEASURES 20-1/4" BY 13-1/2". THE REVERSE HAS A PAPER LABEL READING: MADE IN JAPAN, #20. WORK BY A JAPANESE ARTIST WORKING IN THE WESTERN ART TRADITION FOR SALE TO THE EXPORT MARKET.
