FINE ANTIQUE MT. FUJI JAPANESE WATERCOLOR BY HIROSHI
FINE ANTIQUE MT. FUJI JAPANESE WATERCOLOR BY HIROSHI – a late 19th/early 20th century watercolour with Mt. Fuji faintly visible in the background. Signed Hiroshi. A very nicely rendered, serene painting with a cottage and boat in the foreground. Excellent condition. The painting was in a turn-of-the-century frame which was in very rough condition, so we simply removed it.
Measures 19-3/4" x 13-1/4" |

| Artist Bio: |
The artist Hiroshi painted the more popular scenes of Japan for the tourist market (i.e., Mt Fuji, cherry trees in spring, winter snow, autumn, temple torii gates and lanterns, ocean boats, etc.). He always singed his paintings 'Hiroshi', underlined. This is not the artist Hiroshi Yoshida, who usually painted more rustic scenes and signed his paintings 'H Yoshida'.
