A early 20thc rendering of a beautiful Geisha in kimono standing with a koto, signed S. Hodo.

The painting is a gouache on paper measuring 19" x 6".

Picture is housed in a black lacquer faux bamboo frame.

Hodo was one of the most prominent water color artists of old Japan working in the Western or Namban style.
