Moga Bijin from the series Shin-Han Imayou Onna Fukei (Shin-Hanga Display of Modern Women) by Asahi Masahide. Original Japanese woodblock print dated Showa 5 (1930) in left margin. Very good condition. Light foxing as shown in scan. Print has not been removed from the original presentation folder and retains original colors. Good ink bleedthrough on fine Japanese washi. Nice mica background. Series, title, date and artist's name embossed in left margin. Print measures 11.7 x 7.8 inches. |
