Dated April 1998. Medium/Technique Painting. Colors Excellent … This art work was painted by hand with water and acrylic colors and Chinese ink on a thick but pliable Chinese paper. Condition Excellent. Description When the artist was traveling in the Labrang Monastery the old stone building made a big impression on him - deep red and yellow colors, the light overflowing the constructions, the Lamas wearing red and yellow gowns. There was a strong mysterious and religious feeling in the air. In this painting the artist describes a Lama in a dark shadow of an old construction and a silhouette of a Lama passing through a light door. Note Mounted on a backing paper.
