Signature Hand signed and dated in white ink brush on bottom right corner.
Dated October 1997.
Medium/Technique Painting.
Colors Excellent … This art work was painted by hand with water and acrylic colors and Chinese ink on a thick but pliable Chinese paper.
Condition Very good … Professionally repaired tear (ca. 0.5 cm = 0.4 inch) on upper margin of image area.
Description Every morning at dusk the Lamas of Labrang Monastery walk along the longest turning scripture road of China. The artist described three Lamas turning scripture. The Tibetan characters carved on the stone are the "six word conjuration" of Tibetan Buddhism - "Om Mni Padme Hum" means "Hail to Jewel in Lotus".
Note Mounted on a backing paper. Decorative borders were added in Chinese traditional manner.
