Subject: A delightful portrayal of a 1940's Paris street scene with a real period feel, signed in pencil by the artist at base.
Early in his career, Okuyama designed commercial posters and labels, working with Azechi Umetaro. He established his own publishing firm in Japan, in 1946, called The Japan Print Institute, producing Hiroshige reproductions, as well as other printed products. He produced over 1000 Japanese prints in his lifetime.
