Note that there may be some inaccuracies: Saturday, 19 May 2007 Original limited edition by Koichi Maeda who was born in Tokyo in 1936. “Mura no Kayoi Michi” ("The Village Road") seldom every seen offered for sale. Very peaceful scene on small village. This is a large format Limited Edition 48/80 woodblock print dated ‘99. Numbered 48/80, titled, signed, and dated '99 in bottom margin in pencil by the artist. Very Large size: 24 and 3/4 inches by 18 and 3/4 inches. It is in pristine condition with full margins, bold colors and never framed. Strong texture on thick Japanese washi paper. Bright and lively, full of light and wonderful colors with the precision and details characteristic of this artist. Very slight smudge on the right upper corner. Limited edition of only 80 prints. Sought after as collector’s item rarely offered outside of Japan. Very low limited edition.
