This is a beautiful original watercolor of a rainy Kyoto avenue by listed Japanese artist Terauchi. It measures about 14 1/4 x 10 image size. Signed lower left. Very nice condition. Terauchi's watercolors are instantly recognizable, as he used a pallette of greys, pale yellows and soft greens for the rain scenes which are his best known work. A truly outstanding example of a 20th century Japanese watercolor.
