Original estate-found Japanese woodblock print………As found, apparently same as originally sold, top corners paste-tipped onto cardboard backing with cut matt and tissue guard……..Typed description (affixed to backing, and probably from original seller) states: "Tagonouri Bridge (Tagonouri Hashi) View of Mount Fugi, in blues and greens. Signed, Hasui; red seal, decorative form only. Right margin: the Japanese title; and the date, "Showa Go Nen Saku" (Made in the summer of the 5th year of Showa (1930). Left margin: Stamp of the publisher, Watanabe of Tokyo………….Image size: 15" x 10"………………..Matting materials apparently non-archival (suggest buyer repackage print in acid-free materals)…..Print in pristine condition; no toning, fading or sunning, no chips or tears, no repairs…….. |
