This auction is for a 1968 SUMMER CATALOG of Contemporary Japanese Art, from the RED LANTERN SHOP of "CONTEMPORARY JAPANESE PRINTS."
The Red Lantern Shop in Kyoto, Japan services collectors around the world in both old and modern prints of all types by leading artists of the contemporary movement.
Included in this catalog is 13 tipped in art color prints, and 67 black & white print photos.
The tipped in art prints can be removed and framed. Some of the sizes of the removable color prints are: 3 X 5"; 3-1/8 X 3-1/8"; 2-3/4 X 3-3/4"; 2-1/2 X 4-1/4", and other sizes.
On page 11 & 12 two prints have been cut out, probably by the previous owner (see picture). Additionally, someone has made a some pen/pencil markings such as crossing off a number, as if they were marking what they wanted to purchase from a gallery or something.
The back of the catalog has a 1968 price list of the art works in this catalog. |
