Condition good … discoloration and some foxing on the margins, moisture stains on the middle of the left area, slightly creased, thin area on the left side of the upper margin, two light brown spots on the sky on the right area of the image.
Description The side view of the old US embassy and its beautiful Japanese garden in Yokohama, Japan. Brown painted the scenes of Japan, China and Korea in 1930s which caught the eyes of Adachi Toyohisa (1902-82) of Adachi Publishing Co.. Only 20 woodblock prints have been known as Brown's. He had his formal art education from the Royal Academy in Amsterdam.
