Triptych: Bijin in a Spring Garden

Artist: Toyokuni I
Format: Oban triptych: each sheet 15.25" x 10.25"

Subject: A group of bijin by the engawa of a garden room, watching an elderly Samurai who holds a sprig of flowering Prunus blossom. An elegant and unusual triptych.

Publisher: Unknown

Date: c.1800's

Condition: Full size with margins. Some thinning of paper at edges. Printer's error on brown block on center sheet. Some wear, small creases and flaws. Generally very good for a print from this early period.

Colour: Very good

Impression: Very good with gauffrage
