Subject: A highly unusual pillar print design with the infant Ichikawa Danjuro being supported by a maidservant as he reaches for a windmill toy being dangled above him by his mother. He wears a gown decorated with the Ichikawa mon. A delightful and rare design and an important piece of Kabuki social history
