Format: Oban triptych: each sheet: 14" x 9.5"

Subject: A young nobleman is handed a note from an unseen lady inside a palanquin, four ladies look on in shock. Falling leaves from the Maple trees, some which have fallen inside the palanquin.

Publisher: Tsutaya Kichizo

Date: c. 1850-53

Condition: Slightly trimmed. Album backing paper. Slightly soiled. Some small stains. Minor creases, wormage, marks and flaws. Generally good state.

Colour: Fine colors.

Impression: Fine impressions with gauffrage and burnishing.
