Original woodblock print on very thick washi.

Titled in pencil "Tancho Zuru" in Japanese, and signed in English in the lower margin by the Artist.

Paper size: 38.8cm (W) x 32.7cm (H)

Image size: 31.0cm (W) x 24.9cm (H)

Ohmoto is a native of Hokkaido, where he was born in 1926. Studied at Asagaya Fine Arts Institute and Meiji University. Member of Nihon Hanga Kyokai since 1973.

Demonstrated the techniques of woodblock printing at Purdue University and Indiana University on a tour of the U.S. in 1980.

This is typical of his designs which often illustrate the landscape and the wildlife of his native Hokkaido.
