Utemaro Azechi (born 1902) Japanese Woodblock Print. "CRY ON THE MOUNTAIN" (Yama ni Sakebu), 1956. Number 2 of the original set of 30. Measures 15 1/4 x 23 1/2. Pencil dated, numbered, and signed on the lower left (-56 2/30 W. AZECHI). Red hanko on lower right. Penciled in Japanese on back lower right. This Japanese woodblock print has a slight burn mark on the lower right and also at the top left. Lining paper attached to the top on back (about 1/4 inch). Some water stains on front and also, slight toning. Overall in good condition.
