Early and important Japanese woodblock print, by one of Japan's most important modern printmakers. 22 1/2"(57cm.)x16"(40.5cm). I retained the artists label from the back of the frame, signed and titled "Woodpecker" and numbered 28/50 Very good condition, but pasted down on cardboard, with I assume a archival paste as there is no evidence of staining or foxing. Removed from original glazed frame, and straw matte. |
