Subject: Prince Genji on the balcony of his palace stands gazing out to sea, in the foreground bijin composing poem cards. This is one of the rare beni-girai prints which were printed in shades of black and grey only.

Date: c. 1787

Condition: Full size. Japanese album backing paper. Several small wormholes. A corner damage bottom left. Some creases. Minor marks and rubbing. Fair state of preservation.

Impression: Fine impression.
