Kunisada, (Toyokuni III 1786-1865)

The Thirty-Six Famous Geisha: Number 32 (Meigi sanjûrokkasen: sanjûni)

a parody of the thirty-six immortal poets; with two bijin and a young kamuro sorting numerous lacquer dishes, a seated beauty holding a brush in her hand and a notebook rests in her lap; signed ôju (by special request) Toyokuni ga, with publisher's mark Tsutakichi han (Tsuta-ya Kichizô), aratame and date seal 1861

Year: 1861, 12th month

Condition: A fair impression with very good color, slight trimming into seals on right edge, small binding holes and one small worm hole on left edge, backed.


Dimensions: oban tate-e 35.7 by 24.4 cm
