Note that someone has stamped a "Kobayashi Kiyochika" seal on this print (very faint at lower right edge). I've seen this particular seal on quite a few prints over the years, and they are always prints by artists other than Kiyochika.

Rare Japanese Shin Hanga Mitsugiri Woodblock Print Choka Takemura Hideo Red Seal

Rare vintage Japanese mitsugiri format woodblock print in the style of Shotei signed Choka ("morning flower"), depicting a woman with a parasol standing on a bridge with Mt. Fuji in the background. The alternate reading for the name might be Asahana. Below the signature at the lower right is the red circular seal of the publisher Takemura Hideo. Likely dates from the 1930s. Framed with an archival mat. Frame size: 21" x 11." Very good color and overall condition. The print is framed, but does not appear to be glued to a backing. There is a slight diagonal crease in the paper in the sky and there is a small amount of faint staining or a production imperfection in the sky at the upper right.
