The artworks displayed on JAODB are not for sale

Notes (1st edition)The title kaji can be translated to "beach" or "coast". Clearly this is not a scene of a beach so I think "Coast" is the correct translation.

Up for auction is an original antique Japanese woodblock print by artist Narazaki Eisho, dating from the 1920's. Titled "Sunrise at Shimoda Beach". Marked with the artist mark and publishing markings as seen in the photos. Overall condition is very nice for its age. Edges are in very nice shape, no fading, no water damage, no tears, no folds, no creases, light foxing line and color is great. Has been mounted on a thick stock cardboard years ago. Measures approx. 14 3/4" by 6 1/2". Rare woodblock and is a must for any collector.
