Very good ... Lightly toned. Slight foxing. A light stain on the upper area on the sky. Two drying holes on left margin, slight soils on the margins.

Glittering Sea (Hikaru umi), from the series Inland Sea (Seto naikai shu). Two sailboats cross the shining waters of the Seto Inland Sea, the unseen sun sparkling in a brilliant swath of reflected light. This work is very highly sought after and this design was known to have been displayed in the Kensington Palace office of the late Princess Diana.

The Woodblock Print
This oban-sized woodblock is in very fine to excellent condition with the jizuri seal meaning it was printed by Hiroshi Yoshida himself. Beautiful color and detail, intact margins and deckle, clean verso. A small bit of tape stain on the top edge of the verso. Pencil signed.
