Moga titled Yuki (Snow) from the series Modern New Women's Styles (Shinpan Imayo Onna Fuzoku) by Asahi Masahide. Original woodblock print dated Showa 5 (1930). Print is still tipped along top margin in the original presentation folder. Decorated paper frame of folder prohibits scan which includes margins. Left margin of print has the series, name, date, and artist's characters embossed into the washi. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough. Very strong baren rubbings on verso. Snow is hand applied. Good condition with washi stain and light foxing. Print measures 11.8 x 8.0 inches.
Yuki from the series Modern Styles in the New World by Asahi Masahide. Original Japanese woodblock print dated November Showa 5 (1930). Print is in very good condition. Light foxing and washi stain. Print has never been framed, retains original and is still tipped to the original presentation. Print measures 11.7 x 7.9 inches. Series, title, date and artist's name embossed into the left margin. Good texture and ink bleed through on thick Japanese washi.
