Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print

ARTIST: Ohara Koson (Signed Shoson)

SUBJECT: Cockatoo and pomegranate

DATE: 1927

PUBLISHER: Print bears the Watanabe "C" seal indicating an early impression.

SIZE: oban design measures 10.25" x 15.25"

CONDITION: Excellent color, impression, condition

NOTE: This is one of Koson's most popular and well regarded designs. There are numerous

and multiple later editions readily available. These later editions pale in comparison

to an early impression in quality of impression, color, paper, etc. This impression has

onderful fresh color (note pink shading still apparent in feathers).

Parrot and Pmegranate by Ohara Shoson. Genuine woodblock print. Fine condition. Oban size measures 15.3 x 10.2 inches. Nice blind printing on feathers. Strong ink penetration. Watanabe 7mm seal in corner. Print has never been framed and retains original colors.
