" Misty Morning -Japanese landscape ". Original watercolor on light cream wove paper by Kentaro Kato ( 1889 - 1926 ); signed lower right " K. Kato " ( with the styalized H like K - see attached example of other work ): image / sheet size; 13 1/2 x 10 inches ( 34.5 x 25.5 cm ): sheet also inscribed verso in pencil " Kentaro Kato 1912 ": original fine circa 1912 frame: frame size: 14 3/4 x 11 1/8 inches ( 37.5 x 28.5 cm ).
A rare work by this short lived master in his early traditional style ( 1912 ). |
