Beauty with Fan, 1928

Lovely second edition print of Shuho’s shin-hanga beauty "Beauty with Fan." The classic 1920s beauty image combining the elements of the classic Japanese beauty with the modernization of Japan in the arts in the 1920s. The woman with her hair high on her head held with a single comb in tie-dyed club band. She's wearing a simple blue and white kimono with a obi tied tightly around her waist. To hold the fan decorated with embossed detail -- and nice touch. Printed with a shimmering mica -- very nice.

Signed- Yamakawa Shuho, second edition
Image size- 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown
Condition- In excellent condition overall with no issues to report. It top-notch 20th century print. Good for display or to collect.
