Notes (this edition)
These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.:
Very good. Light toning. Slight foxing. A part is missing on the bottom right edge. This print predates the recognized Uchida Art Company's polygon seal. Originally Uchida was know as Uchida Bijutsu Shoshi when they first starting publishing in 1919. I have trimmed the original heavy presentation sheet that was torn. In the lower right corner was an 'embossed' vertical seal that read 'Uchida Bijutsu Shoshi'. The print is 'side tipped' to the remaining presentation sheet. This is a beautifully designed print with an UNUSUAL feature, the rocks are embellished with a silver overlay. Skillful 'bokashi' to the leaves and petals. the print is in VERY FINE condition with the face and verso UNMARKED. The bleed through is average with the desired 'baren' marks on the verso. The artist's seal is unread. STRONG COLOR and IMPRESSION. Pictures are accurate for COLOR and CONDITION. The image is: 9 1/2 x 14 1/4 inches or 24.1 x 35.9 cms with full margins as published.
