Title Competing Beauties in the Showa Era - Early November rare and sought after Artist Ikuharu Watanabe 1895-1975 Signature Ikuharu. Seal Artist's seal. Dated 1927 - 1930. Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Description From the series, "Showa Bijo Sugata Kurabe" (Competing Beauties in the Showa Era). "Hatsu Shimotsuki" (Early November). Ikuharu depicted the beauties in traditional kimono but rendered much more lively, natural expressions on their faces and hands. This series has been very sought after and difficult to be found in good condition. Width Item 10.2 inches = 26.0 cm Height Item 14.9 inches = 37.8 cm Literature Newland, Amy R.; and S.
