The artworks displayed on JAODB are not for sale

Notes (1st edition)This postcard print is listed in the 2013 Hasui catalogue (Folk Museum of Ota City) as being published by Watanabe in the 1930s. Personally I have my doubts that it was published by Watanabe due to the (lack of) quality of the printing. The PO featured is Akabane Post Office, and the set of postcards was issued in commemoration of the "new government office". It would appear this scene was first published in 1930, but may have also been re-issued in 1935. Some examples exist that are machine printed as opposed to being woodblock prints.
