Condition: Mint, with superb colors.


Notes: The darker state, with heavy rainfall and grey clouds. Narazaki characterizes this print as, "A windswept coastline, the ferocity of the waves crashing against the rocks, oddly shaped cliffs eroded by water and exposed to the wind." Hachinohe is in the south-western Aomori Prefecture.

Provenance: The collection was initially purchased directly from S. Watanabe print shop in the mid-1940's and has always been properly stored away. The majority of the collection showcases rarely seen MINT colors; several far exceeding numerous examples seen in prior collections.
