These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.:
Set of eight original Japanese woodblcok prints by Hiroshige. Scenes were drawn in 1847, but not printed until July Showa 3 (1928) by Shotaro Sato. Good condition with some foxing and washi stains as shown in scans. This is a matched set which has been in the original portfoliio since publication. Sato published a numbered set and an unnumbered set with the same dates. This one is the unnumbered set. This set is titled Toto Yukimi Hakkei (Eight Snow Scenes in the Eastern Capital). Strong texture and ink bleedthrough on fine Japanese washi. Each print measures approximately 10.4 x 15.7 inches. Red Sato publisher's seal in right margin of each.
